Get to Know Flowery Units!

It's always good to get to know the face behind a brand and I'm sure you've seen my face many times!

I am Brittini, the owner of Flowery Units. I started Flowery Units in 2018 after becoming frustrated with my hair. I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata, an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system attacks the hair follicles leading to some or all hair loss. Luckily, I haven't lost too much hair, but my scalp is often inflamed, so I grew a preference for protective styles. I tried out a few wigs and came to love being able to let my scalp rest while changing up how I looked. My confidence skyrocketed and I wanted to know more about wigs - how to style them, make them, color them. I decided to learn how to make wigs both by hand and machine and began to educate myself on different aspects about hair. Through all this, I discovered a passion for creating wigs and seeing how they can transform every individual differently.

I decided to start my own brand, and it wasn't easy. Coming up with a name took literally forever. I was stressing for months constantly surrounded by balled up papers full of names. I would whine and complain to my husband that I couldn't come up with something unique and would represent the brand. One day, he texted me and said, "how about Flowery Units? It fits your theme and has a piece of you in it." The more I said and thought about the name, the more I loved it. And here we are!

So whether you are coping with a medical condition like me, are protective styling, or just enjoy wearing wigs, we have something for you!

If there's anything else you'd like to know about me, just ask! I love chatting and meeting new people! 🌻

  • The website is well put together to say the least. I am enthusiastic about becoming a customer and I have personally already experienced phenomenal, above and beyond customer service from Mrs. Lowery. She has helped me to understand density and other aspects of “the wig industry” that I was confused about. While I am still deciding on a unit, I would just like to say and also encourage those visiting the site, that this is THE place to be! Thanks Britt for being such a dedicated business owner. 🍃🌻🍃
